Reverse Recess
Starting in week 6, term 1, 2011 we will be trialling the introduction of a “reverse recess”. This will involve students eating their snack and having a quiet time at the end of their second break instead of at the start. This is to promote better eating and calmer behaviour. We welcome your feedback on this trial. Please ask your children what they think as the change becomes routine and record comments on this blog.

Our school is 130 years old this year.
What was life like when our school started? What was happening 130 years ago?
Do some research and list what you find out on this blog.

Parent Opinion
Recently we received results for our 2009 Parent Opinion Survey, which was distributed to 40 randomly selected families.
While we are pleased with the improvement in responses to 11 out of 18 aspects of our work, we are concerned about parent perceptions regarding behaviour, social skills and student safety. We would like to give you the opportunity to comment on these areas, especially if you did not get a chance to respond on the survey.
What do you think the school needs to do to improve parent perceptions regarding the behaviour, social skills and safety of our students?
(Please remember that your comments will be public.)
